Rotsaruv is absolutely correct, the playing on Scarlet > Fire is incredible. They played this show (this exact version I think) on the Sirius Satellite Radio GD channel a few days ago.
I'm giving it five stars just for the Scarlet > Fire.
Typical East Coast crowd noise level. Reality check: It's an aud from 1979. It's actually an excellent recording. It sounds like it did if you were there.

I was a newbie in Fall '79, having seen my first show on 9/1 in Rochester. I knew nothing about the Dead except the 6 songs I heard on AOR Rock Stations (Shskedown, Good Lovin, US Blues, FOTD, Truckin & Casey Jones).
But, of the 5 shows I saw that Summer & Fall (9/1, 9/6, 10/24, 10/25 & 10/31), I knew enough to know that this was by far the poorest of the lot. 'Nuff Said.
